Great day's fishing on a stunning estate, thank you. Fish up to 15" with 4 at 14-15", but the biggest got away (of course!).

fished from 8am - 2pm . the fish were in their feeding lanes till about 12pm the sun rose and the sport abruptly ceased. my catch return should of been well over twenty but for those pesky hook pulls. the first six hook ups all lost to them. cracking beat . size all between 9-13 inches . also three otters working the pools which was great to see but may have a negative affect on the fishery

Tricky day, cold upstream wind made things difficult. Very sparse LDO hatch around lunchtime, but nothing rising. 2 10-12 inch WBT taken on nymph above bridge, 1 good fish lost in the bridge pool after it went cartwheeling around! Lovely beat, will definitely be back. Farm’s Labrador followed me around most of the day waiting patiently for me to finish fishing pools.

In flood and unfishable. Not sure why you can’t carry over your wash off’s from the last week of the season to the following season ??

First time on this beautiful beat,only fished the downstream section,a couple of spots required more agility than I poses ,I had decided to fish dry only there were olives coming off but I failed to connect.l will try again in the spring.

Shocked how low the river was ,plenty of surface action lower part of beat. Best fish just over 2 lbs.lot of small fish.
Busy around the house, dogs in river,children throwing stones ect.
