River very low. Strong wind. Both fish on nymph.

Didn’t hold out much hope on arrival, brilliant sunshine, 20deg and gin clear low water, a few fish seen but very skittish, plenty of hatch but lovely 8” brownie on a blue winged olive the only rise of the day, always love returning to Penpont irrespective of the catch, just a lovely place to spend the day.

A wonderful fish and camp trip to glorious Penpont, a rare, still and very warm day. Huge amount of fly hatching of different types. Morning saw the most action, fish rising in every pool, easily spooked due to low water but with careful wading, possible to sneak up on them. All fish to dries, Adams and olive imitations, ranging from 10 to 16", could and should have had more, the bigger fish throwing the hook as ever. A day close to those flyfishing dreams.

Good day on a fantastic beat. Plenty of fish showing. Only 6 fish to the hand should have been more but they were too fast. Small black dryflys were the choice fished upstream. Will definitely be returning. MB.

Recent reports were right about this amazingly beautiful location - very low levels and no fish, although there were signs of insect life. Fished various wets and nymphs for a few hours over the middle of the day..

water very low and clear sunny day - very little fish activity visible and no takes - fished dry fly and spiders.

River was quite low, and there was quite a downstream wind. I fished dry fly for most of the time. The first fish was on a ducks dun, the second on a parachute adams
