After heavy rain all night the river became unfisheable today so I had to leave fishing for today.

Very fast moving water and quite coloured with sediment.

Only ended up fishing in the evening,water was clearing after heavy rain, had 3 in total,largest 14inches

Very tough day,very low water,lots of people in the river. One 1 decent fish seen rising. Maybe should have gone upstream of the house bridge,but teaching a newcomer to the sport was not practical. Need rain badly now. Odd mayfly about.

Fabulous looking beat, water low, a few fish rising but fish not taking

Weather turned against us during the day with fishing becoming challenging. Three all caught on Adams Parachute after targeting rising fish. Campers and wild swimmers needed to be accommodated.

1 and a half nice trout. First one released itself. Tricky conditions but lovely.

A strange day. Lots of fish rising in the morning and I ought to have caught a few more. Nothing much happening in the afternoon. Left early to watch the Europa League final so I didn't fish the evening.

Tough conditions. Usk as low as we've known it, hot and bright sunshine for most of the day. Lack of water has changed the character of the river dramatically so pools and runs where we'd previously caught now aren't holding fish. Still managed 35 fish between 3 anglers - all on the olive apart fron 5 on the nymph from the faster runs at the top of the beat. Five over 1lb, one over 2lb.
