Nymphing and speculative dry fly. Expected to catch a few graying along with some trout. Not a single trout. Does this section have a good head of trout? All grayling in fantastic condition.....fully mouthed (as in haven't had their lips ripped off).
Left Derby at 0530Hrs and was on the water at 0745Hrs. Excellent day.

Hi: had two very enjoyable days on the Dee a lot of grayling from a few ounces to 1.75lb. All the trout were quite small. We had all fish on tungsten nymphs. River was low and slightly coloured. Wonderful surroundings and autumn colours.
22 Trout, 40 Grayling
