Beautifully clear water and a nice level, although a touch more water may of got fish moving. Some cracking looking pools that I will be back to fish again later in the season.
A fun day had spotting chub, barbel and trout swimming around.
No sign of salmon, but a large march brown hatch had trout rising everywhere. Maybe a dry fly day would’ve been more productive.
The search for a springer on the wye continues!

Too much water to have a realistic chance of a fish? Couldn't even find any slack water fishable from our bank.
Beautiful day with sunshine but a sharp wind; Being an aged group we all had our long-johns on & enjoyed plenty of snacks & Kelly's kettles whilst we waited for that monster bite.... which never came.
Still, there are worse places to catch up with old friends.
Thanks to all concerned.
PS: for all you anglers greasing up your salmon lines, we did see a salmon at the head of Loxsters pool.

River levels were ideal but unfortunately the colour was to heavy, lots of small fish topping in the slacker waters bigger fish were elusive
