No shortage of chub interest today. But barbel kept a low profile.

River very clear and low throughout. The Early start was the best chance with a few good sized chub and a couple of 7 lb barbel in superb condition, taken in the fast water at the tail of beat 6. Only one other rod booked in and 3 miles of water.

Really hard day due to hot weather with no overcast river. Needs a lot of water, never seen it so low. Met Terry Ward and what a gentleman he is. Nice to see someone there on the beat for a change with great advise who cares. Thanks WUF, Courtfield next!

Wonderful day but no fish caught. Saw 2 rises and one Brownie that ignored my cast. Tried nymphs, Daphnia Blob, Fry Lure. No takes at all. Very hot day. 4 or 5 canoes and a heron - all well behaved! Very happy with your service and access to 3, 4, 5, 6 very easy. Thanks.

One foul hooked Minnow. We were beaten by the tropical conditions.

A good catch considering the sweltering conditions. We stayed at The Pound in Whitney on Wye - very comfortable and an excellent breakfast.

Fishing very slow - not much flow on river due to lack of rain. All fish were in good condition and caught on either meat or pellet.
We booked online and the Foundation service and admin was excellent. Very prompt and easy to follow.
