Beautiful stretch of water, but very low. No fish rising or sighted! A stile for access would be a welcome addition for those of us getting on in years.

Water very low and fish extremely spooky!

Caught an hour at dusk. No fish but a stunning spot and good for the soul

As seems to be normal nowadays the fishing was very poor . I had one early rise to dry after that nothing although I tried different tactics. Saw one or two small fish in deeper water but they spooked easily. The lower section is very slippy and dangerous on one's own and didn't produce any fish. I am slowly beginning to wonder if river fishing is worth the effort it seems so poor compared to a few years ago. This seems to be true of most rivers.

Tough day, bright sunshine and low water, a couple of very small brownies returned safely. Fishing tough but still a great day on the river.

No Fish. Although water was high and heavy with all the rain, water was accessible (just about) Upper stretch Accessible. Lower Stretch was difficult to navigate to the river as fencing has been placed across and between fields.

It would be helpful if the Admin could clarify if it's appropriate to climb over the fencing to access the water on the documentation, or perhaps highlight where anglers should gain access to the water? Just a thought :-)

Had stuff to do and only got there mid afternoon. River was on the high side for this beat - a lot of the bottom section being unwadeable and therefore unfishable given the steepness of the banks and riverside foliage. I looked at the upper section but it turned cold and with more unfinished stuff to do, I left early. Out of the various beats I fished this summer though, this is probably my favourite and I hope one day to get a chance to fish it again.

I'm back overseas now, and won't be submitting any posts here for a while.
