A couple of hours fishing in the evening. All caught on weigher nymphs of various sizes and colour.

River pretty low. All fish returned, all tiddlers. All bar one caught on nymph, the other on dry. Very few fish rising and hardly any flies hatching. Kingfishers and sand martins nesting in the bank.

As low as I have seen the mighty Wye, and hard work in the hot sun. 2 Trout from downstream in the morning, 2 more and 2 Grayling from below the Edw in the afternoon, with nothing in between

8 trout were caught on a streamer and the greyling was caught on a nymph. All fish were returned back to the river River was at a good height with lots of deep pools.
